  Demonstrate correct posture for ease of writing shorthand and explain the phonetic basis of Pitman Shorthand.

• Consonants and Vowels

  Distinguish between lighter and light strokes, explain the three positions of outlines relative to vowel places, and write automatically in response to sound, not spelling.

• Circle "S"

  Explain the principles involved in writing the Circle 'S' and when and how to use it.

• "SES" And "SW" Circles

  Explain the principles applied in the use of SES and SW Circles, including vowel indication.

• Doubling Principles

  Explain and apply doubling principles in the formation of words and phrases for curved strokes, lighter strokes, straight strokes, light strokes, MP, MB, and NG.

• Speed Passage At 40 wpm

  Take dictation at 40 wpm based on covered principles and transcribe accurately, including drills, rapid reading, short forms, and timed writing.

• Double Consonants to Curves

  Explain, differentiate, and apply reverse double consonants for developing speeds, including 'FR', 'VR', 'FL', 'VL' hooks and their formation on curves.

  Demonstrate the ability to write shorthand passages at a minimum speed of 60 wpm and transcribe effectively, covering various drills and timed exercises.

• Medial "W" "SH” and "S"

  Explain and apply the principles of medial 'W', 'Sh', and 'S' strokes in taking down dictation.

• Figure representation

  Take down dictation for speed development containing figure and currencies representation.

• Speed Development

  Take dictation at 80-100 wpm, use short cuts and contractions, and transcribe accurately at 80 wpm with 95% accuracy.
