How NMCN says examination results are released
The Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria describes a formal result process for its professional qualifying examinations. According to NMCN's undated Examination Division page, the Council:
- receives completed examination scripts;
- coordinates central script marking;
- enters and collates scores;
- processes the results;
- presents the results to the Board for approval; and
- releases approved results to proprietors, schools and Directors of Nursing Services.
This means a result should not be treated as official merely because an unofficial list, message or screenshot is circulating. NMCN's published process includes Board approval before release.
Are NMCN results out?
Whether results are out depends on the examination category and sitting. We did not find a dated first-party NMCN notice confirming a current 2026 result release during our review on 16 September 2026.
Learn will only describe a sitting's results as released when a dated NMCN notice or a clearly attributable official communication confirms:
- the examination category;
- the examination sitting;
- the release date; and
- the approved channel through which candidates receive the result.
When a confirmed release appears, it should be covered as a dated NMCN update and linked from this guide.
Where should candidates check their NMCN result?
NMCN's published process says approved results are released to proprietors, schools and Directors of Nursing Services. Your training institution is therefore the clearest first-party-supported place to check.
